National cyber security being dealt with by only one Government body is a “risk”, according to ANU National Security College Senior Fellow Katherine Mansted.

“So I don’t think one piece of legislation or one Government body needs to do everything,” she told Sky News Austalia.

“I think it’s good and that it’s proper that we have different regimes, calibrated to different problem sets, and that engage with different stakeholders so that we can deal with all of the multiple ways in which that the challenges of cybersecurity affect our economy and affect our daily lives.”
