According to Lt. Kevin Doyl of the American Fork Police Department, the incident occurred around 8 p.m. on Wednesday near Eight20 Apartments.The vehicle was discovered in a South Salt Lake parking lot, occupied by an individual. While officers did not specify whether the person inside the car was related to the American Fork incident, they confirmed the stolen vehicle was found.
No officers sustained injuries during the incident. The officers who discharged their firearms will be placed on administrative leave pending further investigation. The identity of the individual shot has not been confirmed as the suspect involved in the initial American Fork incident.
